How It Works
Insulin dosing has two components: correction dose and meal dose. The correction dose equals (Current BG - Target BG) / Correction Factor. The meal dose equals Carbs / Carb Ratio. These are summed for the total bolus. Always verify with the patient's individual sliding scale and provider orders.
