How It Works
The Morse Fall Scale is a validated tool for assessing fall risk in hospitalized patients. It scores six categories: history of falling, secondary diagnosis, ambulatory aids, IV access, gait characteristics, and mental status. Scores 0-24 indicate low risk, 25-50 moderate risk, and above 50 high risk requiring intensive fall prevention interventions.
